Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take? This all depends on you. Remember you are taking 60 credits of work, which can take up to two years. Since this course is based on the Bible, many students finish in less time.
I have studied the Bible can I get ordained faster? Remember we are an accredited seminary. However, since this is based on the Bible and many people have studied prior to entering a seminary we have a program to help. You simply complete 2 required courses from the Old Testament and 2 From the new Testament. If you feel comfortable you simply ask your counselor if you can test out. If you pas the final exam you are finished and can become ordained. If you fail, you may be given credits for part of the exam but will have to complete the required 60 credits
What courses are involved? On the CD's is one that contains the courses for the Old Testament and one that has courses for the New Testament. The Bold courses are required courses. After you finish those courses you choose courses in both the Old and New Testaments to give you a total of 30 credits from the Old Testament and 30 credits from the New Testament.
Will I be a Pastor or a Minister? Both titles are basically the same. We choose the title Pastor, but you have the option to have the title minister on your ordination certificate at no additional cost.
Will I be a real Minister or Pastor? Yes! Our pastors have received jobs in churches, started their own church or ministry and in May of 2009 one of our pastors got their own TV ministry show! You are legal throughout the United States, and we even have pastors in Canada, Europe, Japan and our first pastor in China!
